Only six years after that first, Chanhassen theater opened for its first show and its still going strong. 2008 is the 40th anniversary of this popular Minnesota entertainment spot. The theater stages a variety of top notch plays throughout the year.
This theater is huge. It's a 90,000 square foot facility that encompasses a number of theater and dining spaces. Therefore Chanhassen's biggest show space is the Main Dinner Theater. 541 guests can fit into this room. That doesn't sound like a lot for a theater, but consider this includes tables and booths where meals are served along with the stage performance. Therefore The complex includes other theater rooms such as the Playhouse Theater and Fireside Theater. There is also a Director's Room which overlooks the Main Dinner Theater in what is this facility's version of a sports stadium sky box . Therefore People can enjoy private meals while watching the play. On site are also facilities for weddings, as well as both a pub and a lounge.
There's a unique history to the Playhouse Theater too. Therefore â€I Do! I Do!†began showing there in 1971. The show continued until 1993. The original cast put on the show for every performance during

Other shows that have played in the facility are Dial M For Murder, The Sunshine Boys, On Golden Pond along with many, many more. Therefore As the titles show, everything from big productions to smaller pieces show at Chanhassen. It's one of the highlights of the Twin Cities because there's a play for everyone.
