Depressed individuals tend to recede into a shell. Constant remorse and regret are common. Their feelings of loneliness and despair are constant and real. Sufferers want someone to help, but can't find the courage to ask. It becomes difficult to deal with other people. Where they once may have been the life of the party they may now be barely noticeable.

Early stage sufferers exhibit these symptoms.

When has progressed into later stages it begins to become apparent in their ability to be compatible with others around them. Their employment and or educational activities will begin to be affected by their lack of communication and participation. It's difficult to face themselves much less other people. They see no hope or purpose for living and begin to consider ending it all. To avoid this unhappy result early detection is essential. Help is out there for people who suffer with depression. There are effective means of treatment that will get those suffering back on the right track.
