the Secret Of Star Astronomy By Henry Diaz
Allow me to detail this topic for you as this article is hopefully exactly what you have been looking for.
Astronomyis as large as the universe that it seeks to discover. Star is just one part of the overall science and hobby. There are ample phenomenon and objects in just our own solar system to keep someone bust for an entire life time. That's why many people decide to focus their attention on the stars.
Our sun is 94,000,000 miles from Earth, and that's the closest star we know. Its heat is staggering when the amount of heat the earth receives from it over that great distance is realized. The sun contains about 98% of the mass in our entire solar system. That takes into account everything, the rocks, material, even the very large Jupiter and Saturn in all their moons. If someone wanted to they could fit 105 Earths across the face of the sun, and over 1.3 million earths inside the Sun. The sun's core has 340 billion times the pressure of the earth and temperatures there reach 27,000,000°F. That would burn a pizza in a second.
Since it's so close to Earth, relatively compared to other suns, the Sun is the most thoroughly studied star. It would take 250,000 times longer to get to the next nearest sun. Star gets interesting when you consider all of those stars out there. A human can see about 5000 stars, all in our own Milky Way galaxy, from Earth.
With telescopes many more of the over 1 x 10^22 stars in the universe (that's an estimate) can be seen. If you're counting that's a one followed by 22 zeros. In fact, even a small telescope opens the eyes of an amateur star enthusiast to hundreds of thousands of stars. That is amazing! Larger telescopes can see other galaxies that contain an estimated total of over 200 billion stars. Just counting that many is a lifetime of work.
Scientists now know, through star astronomy, that many stars and planets orbiting them. Planets cause stars to wobble, and that can be measured. For the first time, in 2008, astronomers took images of distant solar systems. That means yet another step taken towards verifying the existence of other intelligent life out there somewhere in the universe.
Will we have a run-in with Romulans next month? Not likely. But star and its study of our own Sun and all the stars in the universe will continue. Maybe it also continues somewhere on another planet Maybe someone on one of those other planets is watching us!
In conclusion Id like to say thank you to you for reading this article and good luck with any issues related to this information.
Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. ~Samuel Ullman
